Kane graduated from Michigan Technological University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2011. Shortly after he joined the then Chrysler Group Llc in Auburn Hills, MI as a Transmissions Engineer. Focusing primarily on testing and analysis, he gained experience in the many different validation testing areas of automotive from data acquisition in extreme hot and cold environments to inspecting and reporting on failed transmission systems.
After moving to Milwaukee to be with his longtime girlfriend and now wife, Kane joined a Tier 1 automotive supplier and took a deep dive into LabVIEW while developing turn key test equipment for power sliding door and liftgate assemblies as well as automotive manual and power cinching latches. Through this work, Kane gained experience writing code for FPGA, Real Time systems, multi station data acquisition, serial communication and architecting automated control software to run unattended test equipment.
Always looking for adventure in the outdoors, Kane’s search for a position out west lead him to Moore Good Ideas, Inc. where he has been further developing and honing his LabVIEW knowledge.
